In anticipation of the annual industry celebration and dinner, which will be place in Glasgow next month.

The finalists in Scotland's national competition honouring excellence in the housing and new build sector have been revealed.

The Scottish Home Awards, sponsored by Ross & Liddell, has announced the finalists in the 16th annual competition. Over 140 entries were judged in 19 categories by the highly regarded judging panel, which represented organisations from across Scotland.

Colin Cumberland, head of residential at Ediston Real Estate and chair of the Scottish Home Awards judging panel, said:

“Judging the submissions this year has once again been a really rewarding experience because there were such a wide variety of homes in the competition. We were able to evaluate the numerous outstanding instances of excellence in design, customer service, and renovation thanks to the number of entries received, and we were able to highlight some outstanding examples of sustainability in the housing industry.

The Scottish Home Awards is without a doubt a highly respected competition with the winning developers able to increase their sales opportunities and advising their customers of this success.”

Andrew Cunningham, Managing Director of Ross & Liddell, commented:

“The Scottish Home Awards recognise and honour the people and teams that work continuously within both the public and private sectors to deliver, varied and creative housing developments, addressing the need for high-quality homes across Scotland. It is encouraging to review, and reflect on, the outstanding work being undertaken in Scotland's housing industry and highlight, and reward, those companies, and organisations, successfully meeting the challenges impacting housing development and raising the bar in what can be achieved. Discussions on this year’s submissions were detailed, and robust, and provided an insight into the specifics of each award category and the strength in depth of entries. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Ediston Real Estate for hosting the judging day and to my fellow Judges who, after much discussion, selected the deserving finalists.

Ross and Liddell would like to congratulate all of the finalists for their accomplishments, and we are extremely proud to continue our support of their achievements.”

NOTES TO EDITORS AND CONTENT MANAGERS

The Scottish Home Awards is the national awards celebration for new build housing.  Created by KD Media in 2006, the annual programme regularly welcomes over 60 organisations including new build house builders, housing associations and architects.  Around 20 award categories are presented to a broad range of developments including social and private housing from studio apartments to large luxury family homes.   Judging is conducted by a panel of 15 experts drawn from across the industry.  Judging culminates in an annual debate and voting and the panel is chaired by Colin Cumberland, Head of Residential at Ediston Real Estate and former Chair of Homes for Scotland.   The 2023 Scottish Home Awards celebration dinner takes place on Thursday 22 June at the Hilton Doubletree in Glasgow.
