Scotland’s largest independent awards programme which promotes excellence in new build housing has announced the finalists of the highly regarded competition.

The Scottish Home Awards, sponsored by Ross & Liddell, attracted a record 68 companies who submitted over a hundred entries across the programme’s 17 categories.  The finalists have been chosen by the highly esteemed judging panel, following a period of deliberation which completed this week.

The awards, which highlight excellence in building, design, marketing and customer care across the housebuilding industry, will be presented to developers, housing associations and councils who are creating the very best in the sector across Scotland.

Andrew Cunningham, Director of Ross & Liddell, commented;

“With such a large range of housing in the competition, judging the entries this year has again been a very positive experience.  The record number of entries received has allowed us to assess the many great examples of excellence in design, customer service and marketing and highlighted some brilliant examples of innovation in the new build housing sector.

“The Scottish Home Awards is undoubtedly the most highly regarded of housebuilding competitions.  It gives the winning developers added sales advantage and offer guidance to consumers.  We are pleased to continue our support of the Scottish Home Awards to help deliver this important competition for the industry in Scotland.”

Donald Wynn, Director of C&P Recruitment, which also sponsors the awards, commented;

“We are very proud to sponsor the Scottish Home Awards, a long-established, high quality event in the housing industry calendar.  From architects and site staff to trades, labour and facilities management, we work with a wide range of construction businesses across the country and are pleased to recognise and reward their hard work in delivering the built environment.”

Hopefuls now have five weeks to wait until the winners, chosen by an independent judging panel, are announced.  They will be revealed as part of a glittering awards celebration hosted by BBC Scotland news anchor, Catriona Shearer and Des Clarke, the Scottish comedian and broadcaster.  The event takes place on Thursday 14 June 2018 at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.
