Peter Weanie was appointed to the Board of Directors as Corporate and Social Housing Director, in February 2007. Prior to Peter joining Dunfermline Building Society he had over twenty years experience at a senior level within the banking sector.

Peter joined the company five years ago to set up Commercial Lending and under his leadership we are now recognised as a lead provider of Commercial Property Lending in Scotland. Also in his portfolio he has responsibility for our Social Housing business; in this sector we are acknowledged as the number one funder of regeneration and development projects. Most recently he set up our Community Development department, which primarily focuses on financial inclusion and education. 

Peter is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers.
